Odds Are, They're Taking Your Blood Pressure All Wrong 11/20/2017

New guidelines are out for treating high blood pressure, but it happens far too often that the person taking your blood pressure does so incorrectly (for a variety of reasons) and then the patient is prescribed medication that often times may have worse side-effects than having high blood pressure. So make sure you speak up when you are getting your blood pressure taken if you notice that the proper protocol is not being followed. Otherwise you may end up on medication that you may not be needing! Also come into the appointment with at least one weeks worth of readings since one reading (especially the one taken at the doctors office) may not be accurate.

Improvements in cardiac function are possible with changes in the diet that favor a whole plant based diet. This isn't really new information, however a slow and steady shift is taking place in which the medical profession is starting to realize that the long term solution isn't found in drugs and/or medical procedures to address the health care crisis.
