Hi, my name's Owl Scarey (he/him). I'm the owner and only massage therapist at River and Fern Massage Therapy Studio. I graduated from the Cortiva Institute of Massage in South Lake Union in 2015. In 2023, I decided it was time to branch out on my own, and opened River and Fern. I've spent the years honing my craft and adding techniques to my massage tool bag. In 2018 I became certified in intraoral massage for the treatment of disfunction the TMJ (temporomandibular joint). I began practicing hot stone massage in 2016 while working at Gene Jaurez Salon and Spa, and learned cupping in 2017 while working at Flourish Chiropractic Spa in Capitol Hill.

River and Fern Massage Therapy Studio is now open! Just a short walk from the Roosevelt link station, near Third Place Books. We’re only open on Saturdays, right now. Luckily, Saturday is the best day of the week to get a massage. Offering deep tissue massage, cupping, hot stone massage, pre-natal massage, and TMJ massage for jaw clenching, teeth grinding, etc.
