IATSE Local 488 is back for another holiday Labor Market and makers fair this year at in the historic Hillman City neighborhood of South Seattle.

Join us Saturday, November 29th for a day of holiday shopping, networking and community. Skip the corporate stores and save your Black Friday dollars to come support local artists during the slow winter season!

We’ll have a variety of vendors joining us to sell vintage, collectibles and handmade goods like candles, skincare, ceramics, jewelry and more!

We’re also still looking for additional event volunteers (lunch included!) and donations for the raffle. Harbor Island Studios is on the chopping block for the 2026 budget. King County Council is voting on it tomorrow (11/18) at 11:00am.

WE NEED EVERYONE TO SHOW THEIR SUPPORT + WRITE A COMMENT + AND PLEASE COME IN PERSON IF THEY CAN TOMORROW!

Here are the details:
Harbor Island Studios is scheduled to be cut from the King County budget, and the vote happens tomorrow at 11 AM. This is the only county-owned soundstage asset we have. Losing it dismantles workforce development, production capacity, and creative infrastructure that directly affects your teams, your work, and the future of filmmaking in this region.
We have less than 24 hours to make our voices heard.
