Stitch Movement Collective is accepting choreography and performance submissions for its Spring 2012 concert series. Selected artists will be produced on one of two weekend performances, May 25-26 or June 1-2, at Velocity Dance Center's Founder’s Theatre on Capitol Hill,... alongside the work of Stitch’s four founding members - creating a dynamic evening of local, original pieces. This is a valuable opportunity for choreographers and creators looking to generate relationships with fellow artists, establish performance experience, and increase exposure to Seattle audiences. Applicants must demonstrate a strong commitment to the creative process and the ability to complete an articulate piece that will stand with the work of Stitch.

Application Deadline: February 10

Requirements: Artist's statement and written proposal of work to be performed - please include the number of dancers, length of piece (15 minutes maximum), and any relevant production details. Please provide a 3-5 minute DVD or online sample of previous work, or the intended piece in progress, indicating where and when the work was performed, if applicable.
