Jessica is a graduate of the Northwest Academy for the Healing Arts and is certified by the Washington State Board of Massage. She also has a BA in Drama from the University of Washington and works as a performer, choreographer, director and educator in theatre. Being a performer and a dancer, Jessica has a heightened knowledge and understanding of how the body moves and functions and believes tha
t massage can greatly benefit everyone. She creates a client-centered session by working with each person on their individual needs and goals. She is an intuitive practitioner focused on providing personalized care, incorporating a variety of techniques and educating her clients on improving their health and well-being.
I’m a teacher, dancer and actor who has had unexplained pain in my low back/hips for several years. Jessica is a great listener, and was very attentive to my symptoms. She was able to focus on the problem area while communicating with me during treatment to determine the right amount of pressure. This was the best, and most effective, deep tissue massage I’ve ever had! I recently saw Jessica for a deep tissue massage. I am a professional dancer with regular rehearsals and performances…and tons of head whips. I am constantly dealing with muscle aches and pains, as well as headaches from tension. Jessica was very thorough in asking me questions to understand why I had scheduled an appointment (i.e., was the visit for relaxation or to relieve tension?). She asked me what areas I wanted her to focus on and communicated with me to determine the right amount of pressure so that I would be comfortable while working on my problem areas. It was nice that she didn’t just have me lie down on the table and start massaging me without a clear understanding for why I had scheduled the appointment. I have seen other massage therapists who have assumed the reason I came in was for relaxation. The studio is very inviting and quiet. I really enjoyed the ambiance and the music she played. I highly recommend her to all my friends and dance colleagues.
