Always a good day when I can visit friends & craftsmen hand-making unreal things in their creative spaces like Eric here. Eric learned his skills under iconic Hawaiian shaper Ben Aipa and has been custom hand-shaping surfboards for over two decades in our hometown of Honolulu, Hawaii.
Eric does it all, from shaping, coloring and glassing. Eric is pictured here working on a custom board for our barbershop wearing our newly released Surf Monk tee by Japanese tattoo artist Toshikazu Nozaka .

Like so many in this world, this has been economically devastating for an independent small family business like ours. But we're extremely grateful for our health and the health of our loved ones. And like all our barbershop clients, our barbershop in our hometown of Hawaii is mandated by the State to be closed until April 30th. It hits hard. And yet, we've been through equally hard times in the past and know that we will all get through this soon. In the meantime, if you have the means please continue to support us as our products are still available online (and the persons packing the orders will be us - healthy and quarantined for the past few weeks). Please do what you can to continue to support other small businesses and all the barbers and barbershops when they open back up. Never mind the texts and emails - give your friends and family a call and check in on them. Stay Up, Stay Golden, friends.

Larry Bertlemann aka "LB Da Rubberman” with our Prime Cream at our hometown barbershop . LB was a big influence for us young Hawaii surfers & skaters. We skated low & pivotal emulating Larry’s surfing moves. Pretty great having your childhood hero come support your shop and products. .
