Bridal previews are a discovery process and discovering what you don’t like is just as important as finding what you do. ✨

In this session, we started with my bride’s original inspo: a medium brown smokey eye. I executed the look exactly like the photo, but the second she saw it in the mirror, we both knew. It was a beautiful application, but it didn’t feel like her.

I want every bride who sits in my chair to know: You never have to feel guilty for being honest with me.

Instead of trying to “tweak” a look that wasn’t sitting right, I suggested we wipe it off and start fresh. We pivoted to a soft glam that enhanced her eyes without feeling heavy. We checked in at every single step to protect her peace of mind:

• The Bronzer: We kept it ultra-subtle so she felt radiant, not “made up.”
• The Foundation: I let her see the coverage before I set it with powder. It was important to her that her real skin stayed visible underneath, so we kept the finish light and breathable.
• The Lips: This was the biggest pivot! We tried the traditional nudes, but they felt too dark. I gave my professional advice that going too light might wash her out in her professional wedding photos, so we compromised. We ditched the lipstick entirely and went with her natural lip color + a beautiful gloss.

The result? A bride who felt 100% like herself. 🤍
