Here are a few cuts from Friday. Enjoy!
Good Evening! I'm sorry no videos tonight, we ended up doing back to back soap days instead of every other day due to appointments. Tonight we cut yesterday's soap batches, and I'll take some photos to post on Monday. This afternoon we made 10 more batches of soap and here is a list of those fragrances: Shampoo Bars- Unscented, Plantain & Tea Tree, Rosemary & Mint. Artisan Soap: Morning Rain Drops, Juniperberry, Sandalwood & Serenity, Sandalwood, Aspen Woods, Pumpkin Spice, & Rustic Woods. We do hope your day was a little more relaxing than ours. Have a great night. Geoff & Donna 585-746-8480
Good Evening! The day started off at the Firemen's Flea Market we will be open again tomorrow until 2 p.m. Then it was back in the Studio setting up to make soap. We managed to make 9 batches without the power going out from the storms. These are the soaps we made tonight: Shampoo Bars - Honey & H**p, Hibiscus & Honey, Rosemary & Mint. Goat's Milk Soap- Dandelion. Artisan Soap we made the following: Stolen Kisses (Dark Kiss & Passionfruit), Cedar & Lavender, Eucalyptus Mint, Hearth & Home, & Cocoa Butter Cashmere. The cuts will be tomorrrow afternoon. Have a great evening! Donna 585-746-8480
Good Morning! After a couple of big soaping days we took a day to recover. We plan to be back in the studio later today. Here's what our prep looks like. Select fragrances, set up work area with trays, containers for oils, additives, and recipe cards. Next we weigh all the oils and additives. Then we weigh out water and lye, mix colors, plan designs and line molds. Lastly, we don our PPE and we start making soap. Most soapmakers make 2 to 3 batches at a time we do 8-12 batches depending on what we are making. It's a matter of preference really, but for the volume we sell this is necessary to keep up with demand. We can comfortably make that many batches in an evening plus clean up. Have a great day and look for more soap coming soon. Geoff & Donna 585-746-8480
