How many wefts do I buy?

We got you covered! Here are the steps I use to color-match my client’s extensions and choose how many wefts to buy👇🏼

1️⃣ Start with matching your client’s hair – Choose the color that best matches your client’s REAL hair!

2️⃣ Create highlight – Choose how much contrast you want by how many levels lighter you want to go! If you’re going for something ~subtle~ go 1-2 levels lighter. If you want bigger POPS of color, go 3-5 levels lighter.

3️⃣ Create depth – Choose a color that makes your client’s hair look natural! You will need lowlights (unless it’s a bleach and tone) to create longevity and an organic result. I always go for a color closest to their natural level.

Sooo how many wefts should you buy?

BUT FIRST – Note: all weft recommendations are determined by the method you use and the thickness and density of your client’s hair.

Here is a general guideline I go by:👇🏼

✨1 Row = 2-5 wefts. Goal is to add thickness!

✨2 Rows = 5-10 wefts. Goal is to add thickness + length!

✨3 Rows = 7-12 wefts. Goal is to blend short/blunt hair!

It depends on your goal, your height, body type, and natural hair to make sure the length won’t be too heavy for you!
