🇺🇸 LABOR DAY WEEKEND REMINDER: Your body is working hard, too.
Whether you’re working this weekend, traveling, chasing kids, cooking, cleaning, lifting things you probably shouldn’t be lifting 😂, or simply spending more time on your feet…
Your body is keeping up with you.
And here’s something I wish more people understood:
You don’t have to wait until you’re in pain to take care of your body. In fact, proactive care is often easier than trying to fix something after it has been hurting for months.
Try this TODAY: (like for real… 👀😏)
🧘♀️ Move for 5 minutes.
Walk, stretch, rotate your spine, move your shoulders, open your hips. Your body loves movement.
💧 Drink some water.
Especially if you’re sweating, traveling, drinking more coffee than usual, or spending the day outside.
🫁 Take 5 slow breaths.
In through your nose. Slow exhale. Let your shoulders drop. Give your nervous system a chance to come out of “go, go, go” mode.
And one more thing…
Stop believing that “no pain, no gain” applies to bodywork. It doesn’t have to hurt to be effective. Your body isn’t something you have to fight into submission. ❤️
This Labor Day, give yourself permission to recover, too.
And yes… I’m working today AND Monday 😂 because apparently my body didn’t get the Labor Day memo. 😉
What does your body need more of this weekend — movement, rest, hydration, or recovery?

Day 1 episode 1… ✅
Healthy Living & Morning Coffee is officially LIVE! ☕️
Today is a little exciting for me because the first episode of a new series John and I have been working on is officially out! 🥹
Healthy Living: Morning Coffee will air every Monday at 5am 🙌🏼
I want to be really clear about something: I’m not here to pretend I’m the expert on everything health and wellness, and I certainly don’t have it all figured out.
I’ve simply spent the last 18+ years working in healthcare as a massage therapist, working with people, listening to their stories, learning about the body, and seeing firsthand how the little things we do every day can impact how we feel.
So this series is really about sharing what I’ve learned, having honest conversations, asking questions, and hopefully giving you something valuable to take with you.
We’ll talk about movement, nutrition, stress, sleep, habits, wellness and the everyday choices that can help us feel better—not perfect. ❤️
Grab your coffee ☕️ and come hang out with us every Monday morning. (Extra points if you’re drinking Strangely Warmed Coffee Roasters like I am)
Episode 1 is out NOW! 🎙️
I’d love for you to listen and tell me what you think! And if there’s a healthy living topic you want John and I to talk about, drop it below. 👇🏼
Here’s to learning, growing, and taking better care of the bodies we’ve been given. 🤍

Before ——> After
I didn’t know when I started Heal By Touch in 2018 just how many versions of this business I would live through.
I started with a dream. Then that dream grew.
We went from our first little space on Sparta Road… to renovating, expanding, adding cryotherapy, having 8 treatment rooms, building a team, and creating something that was so much bigger than I ever imagined.
There were seasons where I was booked weeks out, had a waitlist, had employees, and genuinely thought, “THIS is what making it looks like.”
And then… things changed. A lot.
Today, I’m back to working by myself in a rented suite. And if I’m being honest, there was a time when I would have looked at this version of my business and thought I had somehow gone backward. But I don’t see it that way anymore.
Because the size of my business does not determine the value of what I’ve built. I’ve learned that growth isn’t always expansion. Sometimes growth is simplifying. Sometimes it’s rebuilding. Sometimes it’s realizing that the version of success you were chasing isn’t actually the version of success you want anymore.
And sometimes it’s looking at everything you’ve survived and realizing…
I’m still here. Still serving. Still growing. Still learning. Still dreaming. Still showing up.
The 2018 version of me wanted to know how big she could build it.
The 2026 version of me cares much more about how intentionally she can build it.
So this is my before & after.
Not just a business transformation.
A woman transformation. 🤍
And honestly?
I wouldn’t trade the journey.
