Ok so Jenavieve Gonzalez had another class today at
~My School of Hair Design~

She learned the starting basic techniques of rolling a perm.
*sectioning
*rolling
*consistency
*tention

Most students struggle with learning perms as I did as well when I was in school, so she had a hard time figure out the method of rolling as well as where and how to position her fingers.

It took her a good few hours and lots of perm papers...lol until she found her groove but she was feeling much more confident by the end of the day!!

The art of perms is really being lost with new stylist because it is hard BUT once you find a good method....it becomes so much easier....and we gotta keep this service going!!!

Very proud of the improvement she had in just 1 day!!

I plan is to open a school one day so she is my 1st practice student /apprentice at
~My School of Hair Design~
For the past year or so she has been learning how to answer phone calls, voicemails, doing call backs, make appointments, cash out clients, shampoo clients, blowdrying my hair, restocking products, retail inventory and maintaining the salons cleanliness.
She has excelled beautiful and really came out of her shell as she has learned to interact with clients and not be so shy...lol

BUT TODAY I STEPPED IT UP FOR HER and introduced her to doing highlights!!!

Technique was the goal today
*parting hair
*weaving (comb and hand)
*spacing
*foil handling
*applying
She did VERY well!! Not a single bleed mark!!
So very proud of her work today!!
Manny was happy too!!!

She is gonna be a GREAT hairdresser...I can see it now!! Here's a peek of her work.
