😷**PANDEMIC SKINCARE**💆♀️
As we venture on together into these unprecedented times, I wanted to address the effects wearing a mask is having on my skin. I'm sure I'm not alone, so I'll share some tips for how to save !
* After wearing a mask for 8 hrs, I notice my skin is SO dry, especially my lips and around my mouth from rubbing on the fabric of my mask when I talk-- which we all know I do A LOT. 😂
SOLUTION- first and foremost, DRINK WATER. A lot of it. It's hot and humid, you're running around sweating like crazy, and a mask can make it difficult to breathe. Stay hydrated! 💦 Also, think about adding a hyaluronic acid serum or a hydrating but lightweight facial oil to keep the moisture in. A nice, heavy lip balm will help prevent chapped lips from both dehydration and friction.
* Y'all know I LOVE doing my makeup. But right now, it seems nearly impossible. It runs off on your mask, you sweat half of it off, and the other half gets super cakey. Not fun.
SOLUTION- Hate to break it to ya, but less IS more right now with makeup. Slap on a CC cream or tinted moisturizer, touch up with concealer, set yo' face with a setting mist, DONE. Bonus points for adding a coat of your face mascara.
* My poor hands can't even take a break! With all the hand sanitizer and cleaning products, my knuckles crack and bleed! 😱😥
* SOLUTION- protect your hands from harsh chemicals with gloves when you can. Use a luxurious hand cream to keep them soft and hydrated.
Remember, it's important now more than ever to take care of ourselves AND each other! Wear a mask, wash your hands, and be kind. 💖

Covid-19 March 16, 2020
In the interest of supporting our health care system, and due to the large number of at-risk clients we serve, Bodyworks Day Spa has made the difficult decision to cancel services at the Spa until April 1, 2020.
If you need products from our retail store (bareMInerals, IMAGE Skincare, Lab+Blends C*D, Zum or other items), please message us at 660-620-5592 and special arrangements will be made to meet you at the Spa, deliver product or mail products to you. The Boutique area and our scheduling desk WILL BE open on March 17th from 9am to 5pm.
Bodyworks Day Spa and our appointment desk will reopen at 9am on Wednesday April 1, 2020. No new appointments will be taken until that time. This is a difficult time for us all and we appreciate your understanding, support, and prayers.

Hello beauties!
As a beauty professional I feel as though it is important for me to address the concerns surrounding COVID-19 and how it affects your visit to the spa.
- While sanitation is ALWAYS of the highest priority, both I personally as well as my co-workers are taking special attention to reduce the risk of illness. Extra focus is shown to tools, door k***s, light switches, facial/massage tables and face rests, counter tops, chairs, and any other area of frequent contact.
- Tools and furniture utilized during services are treated with Barbicide, which is a hospital-strength anti-virucidal, anti-bacterial, and anti-fungal sanitizing solution.
- If you are feeling unwell in ANY manner, please reschedule your appointment to reduce risk of illness to your service provider, front desk staff, and other clients. We are extremely understanding of the circumstances and appreciate your concern for the health of others. (Plus you can't fully enjoy your service if you're not feeling well!)
- On a personal note, I had a bout with the common cold the last week (beginning 3/1) and am still struggling with bronchitis and a mild sinus infection. I have taken medication and am NOT contagious, however I DO have a lingering cough. While there is nothing to worry about, I completely understand if a client is not comfortable with that in the current state of affairs, and will have no hard feelings if you find it best for your comfort to reschedule.
Thank you for your support, now and always! ❤
