The best extension method is the one that’s right for YOUR hair.

Not every client is a candidate for every method, and not every extension specialist approaches hair the same way.

When you’re considering extensions, don’t be afraid to ask questions.

What method is being recommended, and why?

How much weight will be added to your natural hair?

Is your hair density strong enough to support that method long term?

What company is the hair coming from?

What is the maintenance schedule?

What happens if you experience discomfort, slippage, breakage, or irritation?

A beautiful install is more than a before-and-after photo. It’s about how that hair wears over the next 6, 8, or 12 weeks. It should feel comfortable, blend naturally, and support the health of your natural hair.

One of the biggest misconceptions in the extension world is that there’s a “best” method. The reality is that different hair types require different approaches. A method that works beautifully on one client may not be the right choice for another.

Hair quality matters too. Extensions are an investment, and where that hair comes from can make a huge difference in longevity, appearance, maintenance, and overall hair health.

The goal should be to create a result that looks beautiful while protecting the integrity of the natural hair underneath.

Do your research. Ask questions. Find a specialist who prioritizes the long term health of your hair just as much as the final result.
