I just wanted to give everyone an update. As most of you know, I tested positive for COVID on the 4th, but my symptoms started on New Year’s Eve. I tested again last night and was still showing positive. As of this afternoon, I am now testing negative, which is a huge relief — and I believe would mean that I am no longer contagious.

This morning brought my first real signs of improvement. I’m still extremely weak and tired from being sick for eight days straight. And I’ve got this lovely headache that’s camping out on the left side of my face and head. I’m also dealing with sinus congestion, but it is getting better as the day goes on, so I’m hopeful that by tomorrow I will be 100% symptom-free.

My son was sent home from school yesterday, and while he seems to be doing a bit better right now, nights can always be unpredictable when kids are sick. I actually believe he had something different than COVID, because his symptoms only lasted about 24 hours, and he didn’t have the razor-blade sore throat like I did. His were more headache, stomachache, and fever.

As of right now, I do plan on working tomorrow, 1/8/26. I don’t want to keep getting further behind and having even more people to reschedule. Please bear with me if I’m a little bit slower than usual, as I am still recovering and have not been able to eat much at all over the last 8 days. This is also dependent on how the kids do — if Khalan takes a turn and starts running a fever, or if Seylah begins showing symptoms, that would change things quickly.

If anyone does not feel comfortable coming in for their appointment tomorrow, Friday, or Saturday, please let me know and I will completely understand. We can look at another day to get you rescheduled, because your health and safety is a priority as well. And please — if you are experiencing any kind of sickness or fever yourself, we would appreciate you rescheduling your appointment.
