There are salons on every corner.

There are talented stylists everywhere.

Many of us use the same color lines.
The same tools.
The same techniques.

So why do some stylists stay booked weeks in advance while others struggle to fill their books?

It isn’t just the hair.

I know that might sound crazy coming from a hairstylist, but hear me out.

Most guests don’t know the difference between a level 7 and a level 8.

They don’t remember the exact formula you used.

They probably couldn’t tell you what developer you mixed with their color.

What they DO remember is how you made them feel.

They remember being welcomed the second they walked through the door.

They remember feeling comfortable enough to tell you what’s going on in their life.

They remember laughing.

They remember feeling heard during the consultation.

They remember being excited when you spun them around in the chair.

They remember leaving feeling prettier, stronger, more confident, and more like themselves.

The hair matters.

But the experience matters more.

Guests aren’t just paying for highlights.

They’re paying for confidence.

They’re paying for self-care.

They’re paying for an hour where nobody needs anything from them.

They’re paying to feel beautiful before a vacation, a wedding, a first date, a new job, or simply because they’ve had a hard week and need a little boost.

As stylists, we have to stop thinking we’re only in the hair business.

We’re in the people business.

The most successful salons and stylists don’t just deliver great hair.

They create an experience people can’t wait to come back to.

Because long after the color grows out and the haircut needs refreshed, guests remember how they felt sitting in your chair.

And that’s what keeps them coming back.

Chunky highlights are making a come back!👀👀👀 So nostalgic for me to do this on my friends daughters hair, when I had my hair done like this in high school! Part of what I love about doing hair is that every day is different. One client will be a brunette, one client a blonde, and one a variation, the next a red head, etc etc. I love the creativity and variation from day to day, client to client. HAIR TRANSFORMATION!!! 🙌🙌🙌
This client came in after coloring her hair at home, she was going for “sassy blonde”. However, it came out with a lot of yellow/orange tones in it. Needless to say she did NOT feel sassy 🥺 She called the salon for help, and I was able to get her in. This was a total color correction. I went in with a demi permanent base color (root color) to help neutralize the unwanted warmth in her hair, and to give her a little bit of depth, and added a full head of highlights roots to ends, to get her nice and bright, and then did a “tip out” on the mids and ends of her hair that were left out of the foil. Literally every single strand of hair on her head had color and/or lightener on it. The whole process (including cut and style) took 41/2 hours. Myself, the client, AND the clients hubby were THRILLED with the results 🤗🤗🤗🤗 It’s safe to say, she got her “sassy blonde” today 🥰🥰😎😎😎 text me at (678)-570-5288 if you ALSO want to feel sassy 🤪💕💕💕💕

Left is before, right is after 👀😍 This client had been blonde for YEARS, and decided she wanted a big change and go back to her natural color, which is a dark brown, but wanted to still see some dimension in it and brightness around her face. So we opted for an all over color and balayage. The end result was STUNNING (if I must say so myself 💁‍♀️). I have openings TOMORROW ONLY before Christmas. It’s been a while since I’ve posted and I have SOOOO many beautiful pictures of my work just sitting on my camera roll. Here’s one from last week, the left 2 are before, the right 2 are after. This client came in feeling like her hair was “blah”. She wasn’t loving the color. I suggested we get her super bright, and break through all the “muddiness” of the blonde she currently had by doing a TON (and I mean a TONNNNN) of highlights, while tipping out the ends around it, creating a gorgeous bombshell blonde☺️ Tipping out the ends during a highlight service is a GREAT way to get maximum results in one visit.
