My first before-and-after post!
For a long time I have felt so nervous to post my work, because I fear someone will say I’ve done a bad job or that I’m a bad esthetician. Or that I should be better before posting pictures. Almost like I want my work to be so perfect that no one can say anything! I wouldn’t say I’m a perfectionist, or if I am, a good chunk of it is fueled by sensitivity to rejection. Constructive criticism is one thing, but flat out “I wouldn’t go to her” stings a whole lot more. However, I’ve learned that it’s ok if people don’t want to see me and if they don’t like my work. It’s also okay if someone says something mean, because I’ve learned I can still learn from what they’re trying to say without taking it personal. I love getting better and will push through any negative thoughts or words to find my way. You get better with practice, patience, and time, and time fcking passes y’all!! I’m so blessed to have the most kind and supportive clients who have spoken life and love into me and my business. Cheers to eyebrow waxing, pushing through fears, and hitting post!

The door that greets you!!✨🫶🏼🤗 All my clients are welcomed by their first name, with my super cute and very helpful sign!🤍 This building is not your typical esthetics shop location so I know it can feel like “am I in the right place?”. Or sometimes a new setting can feel uneasy or meeting someone new can make you feel nervous. Or maybe you feel like all service providers care about is getting clients in and out the door. No worries! You are always thought of before, during, and after the appointment. In all the hustle of preparing a space and prepping a service, I get to slow down for a few seconds and think about my client 100%. Your name is you. And I get the honor of writing it down on my welcome sign every time you come in! Thanks to everyone who’s noticed and expressed how much they like it! From making crafts in school to baking pies at tyc, from Thanksgiving dinner at Thorns to Workout Before You Pig Out at Apex gym! So many amazing memories with people I get to call family/my friends! I am so grateful for my life, my people, my hometown, and my career as an esthetician. I am so thankful for every individual who has followed me, liked and shared my posts, commented and gave me feedback, booked a service with me, tipped, shouted me out on social media or in real life, who ask me questions and show genuine interest in what I do, who ask me how me n my business are doing, who let’s me practice and shows me patience as I progress skill wise, and those who come into the shop and remind me how far I’ve come and how proud I should be.🫂💜 I love times like this where I get to really slow down and remember every little thing and person who helped me get here. From my sweet family, my friends, my community who helped raise me/watched me grow up, my old bosses, school staff and coaches, my landlords, my doctors and therapists, the woman in my life who empower and inspire me, and most of all God🙏✨ I am so blessed.
