Do We Render Our Own Tallow?

As tallow continues to gain attention in the skincare industry, there is something I really wanted to make sure our customers are aware of.

At Purely Vibrant, there is an immense difference on what sets us apart. We don't view tallow as just another ingredient - it's the entire foundation of what we create. And because of that, we're incredibly intentional about how it's made.

Every single batch is rendered by us, in-house. No outsourcing. No shortcuts.

We start with high-quality suet from regenerative farms in East Tennessee, and from there, the ENTIRE process stays in our hands. It's slow, detailed, and done with purpose - because that's what quality requires.

Here's the truth: not all tallow is created equal.

When companies don't handle their own rendering, they lose visibility into the process. And when you lose visibility, you lose consistency - along with control over purity, freshness, and what your product is truly made of.

Rendering tallow properly isn't the easy route. It is costly, and takes a lot of time, effort, and intention. While I understand why some brands choose pre-rendered options, I don't trust it at all if I can't see exactly how it's being rendered and what it's coming into contact with.

And that commitment isn't going anywhere.

Because at the end of the day, the quality of tallow depends entirely on the care behind it - and that's something we take seriously. Poor sourcing or shortcuts change everything.

At Purely Vibrant, this isn't just an ingredient. It's the standard we build everything on. And that foundation will never be compromised.
