I honestly don’t even know how to start this out, so I’m just going to lay it all out there.

My plan wasn’t to make this decision just yet. Unfortunately it’s not just me that this effects. With sharing my space with my hair bestie, I can’t leave her hanging. I need to give her ample time to find someone to take over my spot. It saddens me when we only just got in there after we worked so hard to make that space exactly how we wanted it.

Never in my life could I imagine not being able to do hair. I was a 7 year old girl with a dream and drawings to floor plans of my future salon. I always knew I would own my own salon some day, and I made it a reality. So to say I feel like I’m letting that little girl down is heartbreaking.

With a very heavy heart after almost 13 years in this business and 4.5 years of having my own salon- I am closing Capelli by CC.

Every one of you are the reason why I loved what I did so much. I can’t even describe the feeling you have when you make someone feel beautiful just from a simple haircut. It’s one of the most rewarding jobs there is, hands down! Yes getting your hair done is a luxury, but also essential to your wellbeing.

The relationships I’ve built with my clients cannot be described. I’ve watched them grow up from toddlers to teenagers, I’ve been apart of proms, graduations, weddings, babies, grand babies, moves.. and the not so great times of job losses, divorce and deaths. As much as I’ve been there to laugh with them or a shoulder to cry on- they have all been there for me in ways the probably don’t even know. It’s so much more than hair.. And that is what I will miss the most. I truly have the best clients period!

I’m not quite sure where I will go from here, but I’m excited for my next chapter and new beginnings!

To all those that have prepaid me for services, please give me time to figure out how to pay you back. I haven’t been able to work this entire time and earn the income I once had. If you have prepaid, please get me into contact with me through text or email so we can figure out a plan for repayment.

I will be going through my inventory clearing it out. If you are in need of any hair products please let me know!

Many of you have been patiently waiting to hear when I’ll be opening Capelli. Last Wednesday Governor Walz announced the opening of salons at 25% capacity. As badly as I want to get back to work and see all of you, I unfortunately will not be opening at this time. It is far to early for it to be safe for me to be in such close contact with you, mask or not.

I want to be 100% honest with you as well. With the opening of salons this means rent for my space will turned back on. I was fortunate enough to receive $1,000 from the grant that can only use toward rent. Plus a week of rent I have banked with Sola. That will get me through the month of June. With that said I’m holding on to hope that something will change for the good and be safe enough for me to open back up, if not I’m very sad to say I will have no other choice but to close.

Please stay tuned as I will be making my decision during the last week of June.

Many of you may have watched or read the governors briefing today on the stay at home order!

As of now I am still closed through May 18th, and possibly longer as salons and barber shops are at the end of the dial. I also want to give the heads up that I may take longer to open back up once this is lifted because of being so high risk with my blood disorder.

I will not be rescheduling any appointments at this time.

I will be leaving your current appointment on the book so I know who to reschedule and in what order. Please disregard your confirmation notification.
