September 11 changed my life forever. In the aftermath, as the world felt uncertain and fragile, I found a new sense of purpose and began the journey that would lead me to become a hairstylist and, eventually, a salon owner. What began as a path forward became a way to create connection, comfort, and community one person and one conversation at a time. That journey remains forever intertwined with the memories and emotions of that day.

Today, I honor the lives lost, the families forever changed, and the heroes who showed extraordinary courage. I also carry with me the reminder that even in the darkest moments, we can find strength, rebuild, and create something meaningful.
