Sometimes it’s not about changing your lips—it’s about bringing them back. 💋
As we age, our lips naturally begin to lose some of their color and definition. The border can become less distinct, the natural pink tones fade, and suddenly our lips can start to feel like they’re getting a little lost on our face.
That’s where Lip Blush can make such a beautiful difference.
This before & after transformation restores soft color and definition while still keeping the lips looking natural. And while the color looks more like lipstick immediately after the procedure, it will heal approximately 30–40% lighter, leaving behind a soft, subtle lip tint.
Think less “I’m wearing lipstick” and more “my lips just naturally look this good.” ✨
A little color. A little definition. And a beautiful way to bring your lips back to life.

What makes me happy? THIS. ❤️
There’s something pretty incredible about spending six days with a group of students—watching them learn, practice, challenge themselves, gain confidence, and finally realize, I can actually do this.
By the end of our 3D Ar**la Tattoo Fundamentals training, I’m always so proud knowing these artists are heading back to their own communities across the country with a skill that can make such a meaningful difference in someone’s life.
And after six intense, incredible days together… I genuinely miss them when they leave! 🥹 We laugh, we learn, we get to know each other, and somewhere along the way they stop feeling like students and start feeling like part of the Housley Institute family.
Knowing that what happens inside our classroom will eventually reach breast cancer survivors all across the country is one of the greatest privileges of what I do.
Six days together. A skill they’ll carry for a lifetime. And an impact that reaches far beyond our classroom. ❤️

For women living with long-term brow hair loss, this can be so much more than just beautiful brows. 🤍
This client came to us with little to no natural brow hair, which meant relying on makeup to recreate her brows every day.
Using our Nano Brow technique, Nikki carefully mapped and designed a shape specifically for her face, then created incredibly fine, realistic hair strokes to rebuild the appearance of natural brows.
And the finished result is absolutely beautiful. ✨
No more trying to get the shape right every morning. No more worrying about brows smudging or disappearing throughout the day. Just soft, natural-looking brows that are already there when she wakes up.
For women experiencing long-term brow loss, whether from alopecia, medical treatments, hormonal changes, aging, or other causes, permanent makeup can truly be a game changer.
Natural. Customized. And designed to look like brows — not a tattoo.

Scar camouflage isn't about erasing what happened-it's about choosing how you carry it forward. The scars that mark trauma don't have to mark your confidence. I've seen clients walk in feeling like they need to apologize for their skin, and walk out owning it. That shift happens when you understand the technique behind the transformation: custom pigment matching, layered precision, and the art of blending rather than hiding. Your scar becomes intentional. You stop explaining it and start living with it. If you're ready to reclaim that control, let's talk about what's possible for your skin. Your permanent makeup is supposed to fade.
And that’s actually a good thing.
Years ago, permanent makeup was often performed using pigments much closer to traditional tattoo inks. Those pigments were designed for permanence—and decades later, we’re still seeing the results.
As pigments age and certain components break down, the remaining tones can become more visible. That’s why older black pigments may eventually appear blue, blue-gray or blue-green, while older browns can shift toward orange, salmon or pink.
And because those pigments were made to last, correcting them years later can be challenging.
Modern permanent makeup is different.
Today’s professional PMU pigments are formulated specifically for cosmetic tattooing. They’re designed to fade more predictably and maintain a more natural-looking tone as they age.
The trade-off? They don’t last forever.
And we don’t want them to.

We get asked about stretch mark camouflage a lot-and I think there's a lot of confusion out there about what this technique can actually do.
Here's the truth: stretch mark revision (tattooing) isn't about erasing scars. It's about blending them into the surrounding skin so they're less noticeable. That's a meaningful difference, and it matters for your satisfaction.
What affects your results:
• Scar age and depth (raised or flatter scars respond better than concave)
• Your skin type and tone (darker skin can show different blending than lighter skin)
• Location (some areas heal and blend more predictably)
• Number of sessions (most clients need 2-4 sessions, spaced 6-8 weeks apart)
• Final settling time (results continue to refine for 3-4 months after your last session)
What I won't promise: I won't tell you your stretch marks will disappear. They won't. But I can help make them significantly less visible by matching ink to your skin tone and using layering techniques to soften the contrast.
Why I'm telling you this upfront: clients who understand what's realistic actually get better results and feel more satisfied. You're not walking in hoping for a miracle-you're walking in knowing exactly what we can deliver. That changes everything.
If you're thinking about this, we're happy to talk through whether you're a good candidate and what your timeline would look like. No pressure, just honest information. www.housleyinstitute.com

Why did your permanent makeup change color — and can it be fixed?
Faded, ashy, gray, red, or otherwise “off” permanent makeup doesn’t always mean it was done poorly. How your permanent makeup ages depends on more than what happened during the original appointment.
Long-term UV exposure, lack of daily SPF, skincare products, skin changes, and aftercare can all affect how pigment fades and which tones remain visible over time.
And when the color has shifted, simply adding a darker pigment on top isn’t always the answer. In many cases, we first need to color correct the existing pigment—using color theory to neutralize unwanted tones before refreshing the shape and color.
The good news? A lot of older permanent makeup can be improved or corrected. Sometimes correction is enough; other times removal or lightening may be the better first step.
Not sure what yours needs?
Come see us at Housley Institute for a complimentary consultation. We’ll evaluate your existing permanent makeup, explain your options, and let you know what we recommend before you commit to anything.
