Waxing girlies, let’s talk about one of my favorite skincare ingredients for keeping that skin smooth, soft & glowing ✨

Glycolic acid is an AHA (alpha hydroxy acid) that exfoliates the surface of your skin by helping loosen and remove dead skin cells.

✨ Why we love it:

💚 Helps smooth rough, uneven texture
💚 Helps improve the appearance of dark marks & discoloration
💚 Helps keep dead skin cells from building up
💚 Can help reduce the look of clogged pores
💚 Helps reveal smoother, brighter-looking skin

And for my waxing clients, regular exfoliation can be especially helpful for keeping the skin around your waxed areas smooth and reducing buildup that can contribute to ingrown hairs. 👏🏼

🚨 BUT timing is everything! Glycolic acid can be too irritating on freshly waxed skin, so don’t reach for it immediately after your appointment. Give your skin time to recover before bringing exfoliating acids back into your routine.

🌟 Rena’s Tip: More exfoliation ≠ better skin. Start slowly, listen to your skin, and always follow with SPF when using exfoliating acids on areas exposed to the sun.
