My client paid over $200 for this set. Price should never be mistaken for proof of proper technique.

A new client came to me yesterday with a set from another local lash artist. Before removing it, I took photos because I think it’s important for clients to understand what improper isolation can actually look like — and what it can do to your natural lashes.

This was one of the more heavily clumped sets I’ve personally removed. In several areas, 3–4 natural lashes were adhered together, meaning those lashes were growing at different rates while being stuck to one another and pulling against each other.

There were also multiple areas where 4–5 extension fans had become glued together into one large cluster, attached to only one or two natural lashes.

That is not something I’m willing to overlook.

Proper isolation isn’t just about making a lash set look pretty. It protects the health of your natural lashes. Every natural lash needs to be able to grow and shed independently. When several are glued together, they can pull on one another, cause discomfort, premature shedding, breakage, and unnecessary stress on the follicle.

After removing the set, I kept some of the clumped sections intact so I could show my client exactly what had been sitting on her natural lashes.

Her removal + completely new, much lighter and properly isolated set took about 3 hours.

And this is exactly why I do not perform foreign fills. Sometimes what appears to need “a fill” actually needs a complete removal before I can safely put my work over it. I will never add extensions on top of work that I believe is compromising the natural lashes just to save time.

If you currently have extensions from another artist and you’re experiencing pulling, pinching, soreness, lashes that feel stuck together, or you simply aren’t sure whether your set is healthy — please reach out to me.

I’m more than happy to assess them, remove them if necessary, and give you a fresh set where the health of your natural lashes comes first. 🤍

Because of the quality of lash work I’ve been seeing come in for “foreign fills,” I will no longer be accepting them. I hold very high standards for my sets, and to keep your lash health protected and your results consistent, all new clients will now start with a fresh full set — meaning no remaining extensions from another artist.

Thank you so much for understanding and respecting the quality I stand for. Healthy lashes and beautiful work will always come first here. 🤍✨
