​I’m carefully balancing mango butter, organic coconut oil, and meadowfoam seed oil to create a rich, protective barrier that won't leave you feeling greasy. The secret ingredient? A touch of beeswax for stability and staying power. 🐝

Who says Sunday nights are for winding down?

I’m currently putting the finishing touches on a fresh batch of our Pin-Up Petals Cream Deodorant right here in the kitchen!

When you formulate from scratch, precision is everything. Right now, I'm carefully monitoring the temperature of this silky, botanical base. 🌡️ If I add the essential oils while it's too hot, those beautiful, delicate floral notes (Sweet Orange, Jasmine, and Neroli) will burn right off. But if I wait too long, the beeswax and mango butter will start to set up in the pitcher!

It’s all about finding that perfect 135°F sweet spot before whisking in the botanical blend and pouring it into these gorgeous amber jars. ⚖️

This scoopable, silky cream formula will be fully cured and ready for you at the PGPU Fall Craft Show on October 11th. (And yes... I'm already prepping to pour the more woodsy/spicy new Route 66 Spice next! 😉)

🎉 RETRO ROOTS IS OFF-DUTY FOR A BIG BIRTHDAY WEEKEND! 🎉

​October is almost here, and we are completely off the clock for a special celebration—my 43rd birthday is tomorrow! While my actual birthday was the 20th, my husband and I are celebrating this weekend. Our boys are heading over to my parents' house for an overnight stay tomorrow, so we’re embracing every moment of it!

​We're pausing orders and shipping until Monday so we can go deco hunting (new spooky finds like this wailing ghost!), grab a full lunch, take Jack to the dog park, and have some classic birthday fun going out to eat and spending some much needed time as a couple tomorrow. It's a full-on birthday and fall mode weekend. I am so grateful to be finally feeling better! 💥

I was planning on whipping up a small batch of my Pin-Up Petals Botanical Cream Deodorant today. However, it appears my body and mind are starting to come down from the high they were riding from oral steroids, as I am tapering down.

I have so much less pain, it is amazing and totally worth the wild ride. I got a nice long nap this afternoon and now feel ready for bed soon. First, though, I plan to flop on my Medi Crystal ThermoGem Flexible Infrared 3 gem Heat Pad to further help my inflammation and stream something.

Tomorrow I will catch up on some house chores and whip up some cream deodorant to package for sale.

I am at a loss for what to watch, though. I am caught up on what I was binging (High Potential, Alias Grace). It feels nice to just veg after the high amount of restlessness I had the last few days.
