LaVonne's on 8th

In a nutshell for 31 years I've razored, colored, permed, barbered, waxed, talked, listened, laughed, cried, prayed, and even been a priest for some of my clients. Last week a very new, young entrepreneur asked me over my 30 years, what was the worst client I might have ever had? I quickly responded with one that had actually screamed in an incident, at my young children, while they "grew up" living/working with me in my salon; and I had to tell her that I couldn't service her anymore. THAT was IT! 31 YEARS! It also reminded me that besides a few drunk stumblers thinking they needed a late night haircut on N. 15th, and then also having one client pass out, did cpr, revived, truly, we've actually really skated through and been completely BLESSED 🙌

I know that I am a sinner and imperfect, but also know I have chosen to be God's child, receiving grace and forgiveness and also being privileged to work in my salon while using the gift of sharing that which God has blessed me with.. His gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ's shed blood, on the cross, available for each and every one of us. It's free and a choice! ✝️

Although my surgery went well, my recovery is a very different picture, and I'm hoping to be back in the salon in late August or early September.
