Hey!

My name is Reesa and I am a holistic Curl Specialist in Great Barrington Massachusetts.

My passion is helping people fall in love with their natural hair, using holistic products, nourishing treatments and currated haircuts.

I became a hair stylist at the age of 19, spending the first 3 years of my career focused on chemical services. I loved working with color, but found that my client's hair was never quite healthy, while constantly coloring it. Even worse, they were never happy with their natural appearance.

My own hair was suffering, as well, due to my attempts to make it look the way that i wanted. The truth was, that it would never truly look the way I wanted until it was healthy.

At the end of my third year as a stylist, I became very burnt out, walking away from the Industry all together. Thus, I finally embarked on my own healthy hair journey.

As I started nursing my hair back to health, I discovered that it was wavy!

With this new found knowledge, I began treating my hair as if it were curly, rather than straight. I also swore off chemical services and heat styling, which allowed me to grow my wavy locks all the way to my waist!

With the help of holistic hair care products, regular trims and treatments, my hair became the healthiest, thickest and longest it's ever been!

Later on in life at the age of 30 and as a single mom, I was ready to get back behind the chair and help other women with their own natural hair journeys.

I wore the hair shirt, so to speak and started at the bottom of the barrel again as a stylist's assistant shampooing customers for $15 and hour. 3 months later, I was booth renting at a neighboring salon, taking classes and figuring out my relationship with curls.

At the beginning of 2025, I became a full fledged Curl Specialist, focusing on curly cuts and treatments to encourage growth and thickness.

I am happy to say that I have now built a business on helping people love themselves!

My son and I are now living our best lives and I am serving the curly community one curly cut at a time.

If you are ready to heal your hair and fall in LOVE with your curls, then come on by! I can't wait to meet you!😘

🌻I know this might not be what you want to hear, but there is no quick fix for growing long, thick and healthy hair.

Like most good things in life, long luxurious hair takes time to achieve.

The most important thing you can do to grow your hair is BE CONSISTENT!

Get those baby trims no less then every three months. If you can't afford to go to a stylist, learn how to do it yourself!

Do some kind of treatment once a week, every other week, or even once a month.

Ditch the chemicals and heat.

Wear a protective style while you sleep.

Invest in a silk pillowcase.

Get a gentle brush for detangling.

Invest in a good clean shampoo and conditioner combo.

Find ways to naturally balance your hormones.

Make sure your iron is at a healthy level.

Eat more collagen/ anti oxident rich foods.

Drink enough water and get enough sleep!

Treat your hair like it is your baby!

Whatever practices you chose to incorporate i to your hair care routine, make sure to BE CONSISTENT.

Every day that passes by is a day that you could be growing long, healthy, thick hair.

Start changing your habits today, so that your hair can reach its FULL growth potential.

I hope this helps you on your journey!✨️

🦋Her curls always pop!🦋

This might be an unpopular opinion, but in my experience, it's a FACT.

The key to defined, springy, less frizzy curls, coils and waves, is your METHOD.

What I mean by method, is what you do right after you wash, or even wet your hair.

The key to a good method, is getting your curls to CLUMP together, and the best "product" for clumping is.....

You guessed it, WATER!

The only way to get your curls to clump together is by saturdating them in water and encouraging them to clump.

This can be done by simply scrunching the water out of your hair with your hands and even a towel, (instead of putting your hair up in a towel and then trying to scrunch it when its only damp).

This can also be done with the help of styling brushes, something I always recommend!

What matters most about what product you use, is whether or not it's appropriate for your hair texture, (not your curl pattern, but rather your thickness and density) and also, what ingredients you feel comfortable using on your body.

This brings me to my most controversial opinion...

You don't even NEED product to help your curls look their best!

That's not to say that it doesn't help.

I personally don't use ANY product.

As long as you use the right METHOD, your curls, coils and waves will look amazing every time.

I used a modest amount of a very light gel and a leave in spray on my beautiful guest, Byonte. We honestly could have gotten away with using nothing!

Think I'm crazy? Let me know!

**Watch till the end for the reveal!**

I LOVE cutting textured hair! It is such a beautiful art. Sculpting curls brings my creative mind so much joy.

Experiencing the expansion, the shrinking, the spring, the bounce. Curls are living!
I love it all!
