Awe…. The night before an 8 hour drive…. Prepping my sewing kits so I can have something to do for the long ride. Car is packed, all ready for our “early” start.

With that…. I am giving up for the night…. Lol. Two plates that need to dry to prepare for wax hardening.

I have been pretty quiet as of late…. Learning the new balance of a 9 to 6 job, life, SCAdian life and my art…. But getting back into the work shop.😘

Just had to give a shout out to the amazing and knowledgeable staff at The Good Wood Guys shop! I now have a new hardwood source. She even assisted me with some extra education on different finishing products and ideas for my dowels.🥰

Josh was tinkering in the shop while I worked on X chairs…😘 Solepad supports so we can minimize our rope footprint when we camp…😍

Coronet Box number two complete… I put it in my display today but forgot to take pictures 🤦🏻‍♀️

This one is oak and poplar with Brazilian Walnut and Domestic Walnut inset just off center (yes on purpose, lol) The removable tray is 1.5 inches deep and sets flush inside the box.

One solid cube, ready for cutting the lid… Deciding on a finish and hardware…

Poplar center stripe, oak for rigidity… With a decorative touch of walnut and Brazilian walnut…. Should I stain this one or just do a clear on it? Help me decide!🤔😱

Poplar and oak…. This one will come out 12” by 12.5”… gosh these are kind of a fun build. I have a few sets of jewelry box edges. Feet and hinges for these next couple of boxes. 🥰
