Looking back at these pictures, I honestly can’t believe how much my work has changed. At the time, I thought I was doing a pretty good job… now I’m wondering how everyone trusted me enough to keep practicing on them. LOL

But that’s exactly the point.

Every clean cuticle, crisp French tip, smooth apex, balanced shape, and detailed design came from hours of practice, making mistakes, taking classes, investing in better education and products, and refusing to give up. Looking back, I can confidently say my cuticle work has come a LONG way (thank goodness 😭).

It’s so easy to compare yourself to artists who’ve been doing this for years and think you’ll never get there. The truth is, none of us started out creating perfect sets. Talent helps, but consistency is what really makes the difference. Every set teaches you something if you’re willing to learn from it.

Looking through my old photos reminds me that progress doesn’t happen overnight. It happens one client, one class, one mistake, and one improvement at a time.

I’m so grateful to every client who trusted me while I was learning. You helped me become the nail tech I am today, and I’ll never stop working to get even better.

So if you’re just starting your nail journey, don’t give up because your work doesn’t look like someone who’s been doing this for 5 or 10 years. Keep practicing. One day you’ll scroll back through your camera roll, laugh at your old sets, and realize just how far you’ve come. 🤍
