What is Dermaplaning?
Dermaplaning is a non-surgical, non-invasive, highly-effective physical exfoliation procedure. This technique is safely performed using a specialized surgical instrument designed specifically for dermaplaning. Using a sterile, surgical scalpel to gently scrape the skin’s surface, the top-most layer of dead skin along with fine, vellus hair (aka peach fuzz) is removed. (Vellus hairs on the face trap dirt and oil, which can cause acne). The treatment stimulates the generation of new skin cells, leaving skin more smooth and youthful in appearance. This treatment results in ultra-smooth, fresh, and brighter skin.

Will my facial hair grow back thicker or black?
It is important to know there are two different types of hair on our bodies – vellus hair and terminal hair. Vellus hair is most often located on our face and ear lobes and is translucent or blonde. This type of hair cannot change into terminal hair and will not come back thicker or black.

How often can I get it done?
Dermaplaning can be done every 3-4 weeks.
