Born with rich Blackfoot and Cherokee Indian roots, Cherokee Hair Products Founder and CEO Jatonia Eatmon launched the line to provide you with products that are infused with essential oils and other powerful ingredients straight from Mother Nature. Jatonia’s foray into the beauty industry began in high school as a student of cosmetology and then later as a successful hair model. After appearing in hair shows around the country as well as on national television, Jatonia decided to explore her other passion: people. She began working in the hospitality industry where she was able to meet people from all walks of life. Years later, Jatonia experienced the loss of her grandmother. This profound loss moved Jatonia to take her first trip outside of the U.S. While she was there, she witnessed a massage therapist working with a client on the white sand beaches of the resort she was staying. The picturesque view touched Jatonia, inspiring her to sign up for massage therapy school when she returned. While she was in school, Jatonia studied aromatherapy. This special treatment uses essential oils and plants on the skin to improve emotional and physical well-being. Jatonia became fascinated by the power of these oils, and she soon started developing oil mixtures and using them in her hair. After achieving amazing results, she shared her creations with several women in her family, and they experienced positive results as well. Jatonia then realized she had uncovered a special gift. Not one to keep her gifts to herself, Jatonia has decided to share her creations with you by launching Cherokee Hair Products.
