✨The greatest compliments for an artist come in so many forms. Today, I experienced 2. My first guest was a referral from a former team member, a stylist who is moving out of state. She sent him my way because he (self proclaimed) is picky about his hair and she said “Theresa is your person!” The next amazing person in my chair commented that no one has ever taken the time to put in as much detail work or explain how and why I’m doing what I’m doing. She also asked (and said she hoped I would not be offended, I absolutely could never be offended!) but with that, she said “Have you ever considered teaching?” (Huge compliment!!) 🥰 YES. I have. I talked about my journey with stage work, and then explained how the different aspects for educators in the industry work. Unfortunately it’s not something I can do right now, but it WAS such a huge part mentoring the stylists that came thru the salons I ran over the years. I am proud of the stylists that came thru my salons and the experiences they had. As well as the countless interns from the beauty schools getting hours doing internships. I’m so grateful and proud to be in this industry. I’m so thankful it shows and reflects back when I receive feedback and support like these situations today. I give every person 10000% because every person deserves it. I’m thankful that it shows and I’m humbled by the support and compliments 💜 Thank you so much for all of you being uniquely YOU and allowing me to make your hair that much cooler than you all already are 😎🤘🏽
