Don’t have a Sephora store location near you? Try shopping at your local Marshall’s, Ross, or TJ Maxx: they almost always have a few name brand products usually sold at Sephora for a discounted price! Check often, because the stock of products in their inventory changes regularly! It keeps it interesting and fresh with every visit! 💵🪙💸🧴🧼

Story time! 🗣️📜📓📒📖
This is a brief summary of my personal makeup journey in the world:
When I was thirteen years old, I once had a lady who was a random acquaintance tell me that I should spend time learning how to do my makeup because it would allegedly “make me look prettier.” I’m not sure if she meant for that to come out the way I heard it, but at the time it really did a number on my self esteem. Back then, the only makeup I wore was basic foundation from Covergirl purchased in a compact from Walmart. My only concern was covering up blemishes thanks to puberty.
Fast forward to when I was sixteen, and I began wearing mascara on a regular basis, mostly for church and special occasions. I distinctly remember how two of my classmates who were actually somewhat nice to me telling me that I did a great job with my foundation to the point that I looked “airbrushed.” I simply responded that my goal was to cover up any form of redness on my face.
In college, I used to wear eyeshadow and mascara every single day, even to my classes at 9:00 AM. Every freshman girl felt pressured to look “perfect” in order to fit in with everyone else on campus. I eventually grew tired of wearing eyeshadow every day and switched to using only eyeliner for eye makeup. The cateye look (and also smokey eyeshadow) was extremely popular in the early 2010’s.
(Don’t get me started on the LEGO block style eyebrows that Kim Kardashian made popular! 👀😓🙃)
Presently, I have been using very minimal makeup on a regular basis, mainly primer, foundation, mascara, a little bit of blush, and lipgloss or lip oils. Sometimes I might use a facial highlighter for special occasions, or just whenever I happen to feel like it, but I like to keep my daily routine simple as much as possible.
I personally believe that while everyone has the right to do their makeup the way they want to, it should never be an effort to overshadow one’s natural beauty they were born with. As my mom used to say when I was thirteen, “Foundation is the cake - everything else is the icing!” 🧁💄💋
I’m no longer the little thirteen year old girl who felt insecure by other people’s unsolicited comments. Now I feel confident and assured that my love for cosmetics comes from my natural affinity for all things feminine and pretty. I do my makeup to make ME happy, NOT to please or seek the approval of anyone else. I hope this inspires you who are reading this in your own personal beauty journey! 💖💖💖
Sincerely,
- Glo 💋✨💚🖤

Calling all vacay cuties!!! 💖☀️⛅️
Sol de Janeiro has been advertising their mini jelly perfume sticks for a while now, and so I just HAD to get the one in #68 (Dragonfruit)! This little handy dandy sidekick is perfect for sticking in your pocket, your purse, or your beach bag for when you want to go shopping or swimming! Out of the three scents that are available, the #68 is my favorite one.
There is ONE catch though - BUYER BEWARE:
Because they are made of a fragile jelly texture, be extra careful when applying it to your skin, since mine broke easily. However, if you are mindful enough to keep only an inch of the stick exposed, then hopefully you won’t have the same problem. If it does break, you can always stick it back in the tube and lower the height so you don’t lose what you paid for.
If youre looking for something new and cute to stick into your bag of summer essentials, go for it! Just be aware of the texture of the product inside. 💯

Okay everyone, the verdict is in!!! In my personal, professional opinion, this new spray by Sol Janeiro ( #91) is hands down the BEST addition to their fragrance collection! I tried the mini vacation trio of sprays in person at a Sephora store in Towson, MD, and even though they were also quite nice, I must say that THIS BIG ONE ( #91) is absolutely worth your money. 💵
It’s not too overpowering, it’s floral, it’s feminine, yet not in your face the way some other powdery floral fragrances are. It really smells like you just inhaled a breath from a fresh rose! 🌹 It also is the color of rosé, which gives it a classy look to go with its scent. If you’re looking for the perfect new body spray to add to your collection of perfume mists, THIS IS IT.
GO BIG OR GO HOME. I fell in love at first whiff! 🩷🧡🤍😍🥰🌹

Happy Wet Wednesday (AKA “Hump Day” 🐪)!!! On this dreary, rainy day, I just wanted to share one of my favorite products from Drunk Elephant: the B-Goldi Bright Drops! This has 5% Niacinamide, so it instantly brightens dull, tired skin while providing an extra boost of light, glowing hydration! It can also function as a primer for a base layer before applying foundation, if desired.
This is a classic gold shade, but there are two other drops that have a more bronze shade and a more pink, rose gold shade, respectively. It’s a nice little pick me up that you can apply at the beginning of your skincare routine after cleansing and using other serums. It’s a very lightweight, dewy finish, and I highly recommend for anyone who is looking to add a bit of extra fun to their selfcare rituals! 😊☺️✨
