Does lip filler scare you? Afraid it will look unnatural or ducky? The truth is that many people walk around with great results that look so natural it would appear that nothing has been done. This beautiful young lady has what is referred to as the M shaped 👄 lip. The upper lip anatomy has 3 tubercles or pillows. This M shape lip has volume in the middle tubercule but lack of volume in on the sides such that when she would smile the upper lip would appear very thin or disappear.

Let’s talk more fantastic uses for Botox! This client was bothered by “under eye bags”. The under eye is a complex area which can have similar concerns that are related to a multitude of different factors. Muscle, skin laxity, prolapse of fat pads, lymphatic fluid, allergies and more can be contributing factors to under eye concerns. Properly identifying the cause is integral to prescribing the correct treatment.

In this cause, the client has a hypertrophy aka increased muscle size of the portion of obicularis oculi muscle in the under eye area. Also referred to as the “jelly roll”!

A small amount of precisely placed Botox or neurotoxin allowed for us to relax and smooth the muscle bulge resulting in a smoother under eye, less shadowing and a happy client. Do you have under eye concerns? Let’s find out the cause!

Have you heard of Barbie Botox? A TikTok craze that involves slimming the trapezius muscle to reveal an elongated thin neck that resembles our beloved Barbie.

Though it might look familiar on iconic Barbie, it’s isn’t a natural human aesthetic and can negatively impair function. Our muscles of the neck are chain muscles that work in conjunction with others for important function. Botox, however, can have useful indications for trapezius muscle knots, tension and asymmetries in which case properly dosed/administered Botox can be quite effect. I’ve had my own trapezius muscle tension treated in the past with good success.
