In case you are new to my page. I'm Consuelo. I am owner & stylist of Vivid And Braided. I've been doing hair for about 14 years! I'm still learning & growing every day. I enjoy working with my clients to create a unique, customized look that they can feel confident in. I've lived through and worked in many judgmental salons, and because of that, I strive to create a safe place for everyone. A judgment free zone. I will not be hurt by you asking for a quiet appointment. Sometimes, I need it, too. It does not bother me if you haven't washed your hair all week. I will wash it for you. I will help you if you have been in a funk and you need help detangling your hair because it's been too much to deal with. I understand if you haven't been able to come in for a bit due to financial hardship. Believe me, I've been there. I won't talk down on you if you don't get the product I recommend. It is just a recommendation. (These are all things clients have told me why they left their last stylist/salon)
I'm a no makeup except special occasions, kinda girl. A jeans & t-shirt, jamming out while listening to 🎼Paramore🎶 kinda girl. I have 3 babies! A high schooler, an elementary schooler & a 9 month old... they all have different things going on at different times, so I dont have time to worry about me most of the time. What I thought about it, if I approved?
Let's start with...
What is "dusting of the ends"?
As you know, we are constantly at different cycles of hair growth. As one hair is falling out, we have another one growing and some that are mid length and such. However, even new growth can get damage and split ends. So dusting of the ends will clean up split ends off all cycles of hair growth, not just the length(the longest/ oldest hairs).
What do I think about "dusting of the ends"?
I love it. I definitely approve of it and recommend it to everyone. If you have sat in my chair, you have more than likely gotten "dusting of the ends" or "surface layers cleaned up. " as I have also, sometimes, have called it. This is how many of you have managed to keep your hair growing long and luscious without cutting too much off.
