I know I am known for my vivid colors & braids. However, if you decide you want something more natural, especially as I'm getting ready to go on maternity leave soon... I understand! I myself have gone to something some what more natural. So why would I judge or blame you? Lol, yall keep telling me... don't be mad, but... I promise I won't be mad♡

Besides doing vivids, Braiding is another one of my favorite things to do.
However, I don't get as much practice as I would like. This is why I do my model calls for half off pricing for a particular style. As much as I would like to say yes to everyone, I can't do that. So I do encourage you to try a model call for once, and don't be discouraged if you don't get picked for the first one.

PSA- YES, I am pregnant! It has come to my attention that not everyone saw my pregnancy announcement post. So here is yet another if you didn't already notice from the belly pics on my stories. Lol
That being said, I am due in early Sept. As much I would like to work all the way through until my baby girl comes... we know that things with babies can be a bit unpredictable. So I am currently booking up through Aug and then I will be turning off online booking. Appointments are already pretty limited as my regulars want to make sure they get in before I take maternity leave. But if you would like to make it in before then too be sure to book asap! ❤️

A day late.
But for Earth Day, I'll share one of the eco-friendly things I do.
Because yall know I love eco-friendly things💚
Vermicomposting!!
Vermicomposting is the product of the decomposition process of waste (food in particular) by using various types of worms.
I know some of yall look at worms 🪱 and are like, yuck!
But honestly, these things are pretty dang cool!
1 lb of worms can process 1/2 lb of food waste every day!
Can you only imagine how much food you could keep out of landfills just by composting?
Did you know that food waste in landfills is 58% of the worlds methane emissions?
This is usually due to them being stuck in a plastic bag as the food waste tries to break down properly. Creating toxic gases within that plastic bag. When that plastic bag finally tears open from the weather or critters, it releases all those gases that were built up inside.
I hope that this EARTH DAY post has brought a little bit of knowledge to you all. If you'd ever be interested in vermicomposting or learning more... look into , which has been my favorite method of vermicomposting. I actually invested in 2 subpod bins, and they are both in the ground now. ❤️ However, there are plenty of methods of vermicomposting, I started with just a bin method. (Like pictured above)

Normal, healthy hair strands are covered by a layer of overlapping scales, known as the cuticle layer. The cuticle layer protects and regulates the intake and release of moisture from within the hair fibers.
When the hair suffers from split ends, the hair shaft fractures at the end and begins to separate along the length. That is what the "split end" is. If left untreated, the split can progress the entire length of the hair shaft.
A good regular trim will help clean off those split ends before they move up too far and/or break off.

Many people ask me how often you will need vivids touched up. The answer is that it is based on your maintenance at home...
Vivid Maintenance
1. Color Safe Products at home, no sulfates or alcohol
2. Less washing, more dry shampoo
3. Wash in cold water
Make sure not to take too long to come in for touchups.
I recommend it when you have about an inch of regrowth. The longer you let the roots grow each time, the more bands it can create in the color.
Another helpful tip is to start with only one color. One color is not only easier to maintain and wash... But also, if you have one solid color, you can also use a color bomb to help refresh the color at home.
