We are so grateful for all of the YDF Center student dancers and hula hoopers, our own Eternal Rose Belly Dance Troupe, Delilah Raqs, @janinebaryza and Guest Artists including @kelviabellydance_meda, @elishevabellydancer, @studio860, @movingpeace @garet.co who came out and performed during the dance showcase. The Dance Showcase at the @movementandartfestival2024 was everything we wanted it to be! Let me tell you about this woman, Janine, my friend and Co-Creator of the Movement & Arts Festival. She spends a lot of time and energy shining her light on the people around her. When she loves you, she wants you and the whole world to know how amazing you are.

So much of what was beautiful about the Festival was because of her. It was her idea for the belly dance hang out tent, which ended up being a beautiful spot for live drumming and belly dancing. She spent hours making personal badges for our volunteers, teachers, performers and vendors. She put so much thought into what everyone’s experience would be like, and wanted to make sure there was a place for everyone. It was also her idea for the Quiet Tent to give a space for some of our neuro-divergent friends (and anyone else) who might need a quiet space during the Festival. She got us sparkly hats and shoes for our Disco Snails dance, so we could sparkle a little more. I could go on and on about all the big and little things she did and does to make everyone in her life feel special. Janine I hope you know how much you are loved and how grateful I am for you!
