She specializes in Education, Training as a Clinical Specialist, treating patients for Dermatology, Aesthetics, Hormone replacement and Functional Medicine Ellen Wengert is a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner with extensive experience in the fields of dermatology and aesthetics. In recent years, she expanded the scope of her practice to incorporate functional medicine. She has completed advanced training and earned numerous certifications related to hormonal health, sexual health, laser treatments, injectables, skincare procedures, and medical-grade product education. She is an avid researcher and is diligent about furthering her training and continuing her education to ensure that she is utilizing the best practices and is trained to utilize the most innovative technology and treatment protocols. Presently, Ellen is pursuing fellowship training in anti-aging, metabolic, and functional medicine (FAAMFM). Ellen has established a strong reputation as an aesthetic clinician with exceptional injectable and procedural skills for those seeking restorative treatment and enhancement of the skin on both the face and body. Ellen genuinely cares about her patients’ outcomes, and she enjoys listening to her patients as they describe their challenges and needs. She strives to exceed their expectations and works to educate her clients to provide them with options that will help them achieve their desired goals for aging gracefully. Ellen attended Briar Cliff University in Sioux City, Iowa where she earned a bachelor of science in nursing and a master’s degree in family practice nursing, graduating as a nurse practitioner with honors in May 2014. Ellen’s career in the medical field spans over thirty years. Prior to pursuing her advanced nursing education, she worked in medical sales, working with surgeons in orthopedics, spine, and trauma. Ellen is an active member of several healthcare organizations, including the Dermatology Nurses’ Association, American Association of Nurse Practitioners, American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, and the American Med Spa Association. Outside of work, Ellen enjoys spending time with her family. She is the mother of two, Alex and Rena. She is a grandmother of six, Frederick, William, Alex, Ava, Ellie, and Charlie. She is also one of ten children with six brothers and three sisters.
