Fun fact— the first time I ever did Charity’s lashes was our first time meeting and the day I convinced her to open her own business and move into the suites and work with me, which we are now next door neighbors!! Two girls doing the same things, supporting each other, helping one another, and NEVER any competition. 🥲

This is our 3rd lash lift since, and we joked tonight that we will now be keeping track of our “friend-iversary” in lash lift months time. 🤣🫶🏼

September is Su***de Awareness Month, and for me, this month isn’t just a reminder to check in on the people we love— it’s a reminder of how close I came to not being here to experience the life I have today.

I am a three-time su***de attempt survivor. There are moments when I think about the person I was in those darkest seasons and wish I could go back and tell her that the pain would not last forever. That there was so much she hadn’t experienced yet. There was so much life on the other side of the pain that she simply couldn’t see.

That is a huge part of why the Cardinal means so much to me. To me, The Cardinal represents hope, resilience, and the reminder that even in the darkest seasons, there is still something worth staying for.

The Cardinal Skin Studio was never meant to be just a place where someone comes to get a facial, their brows done, lashes, or a tattoo. I want it to be a space where people can exhale. A space where you can come exactly as you are, without having to pretend that everything is okay. I bring mental health into my services because I know that sometimes caring for your skin, sitting in a quiet room, having someone genuinely listen to you, or simply feeling cared for can be so much more than a beauty service. Sometimes it can be the first moment in a long time that someone feels seen.

And if The Cardinal can be even one small place where someone feels a little less alone, a little more worthy, or a little more hopeful, then it means so much more to me than skincare ever could.
