🍂 A little fall reset for her hair… 🤎

She was ready to retire the blonde, so we transitioned her year-old balayage grow-out and fade-out into a rich, dimensional chocolate brunette using 5B + a touch of 4M.

Deep, warm, glossy and perfectly blended—the kind of brunette that just feels like fall. 🍁🤎

Blonde is out. Chocolate season is in. 👑

✨ Deluxe Curly Cut | Volume Without the Heat or Chemicals ✨

She came in wanting that full, voluminous, almost permed look—but without actually perming or heat-styling her hair. So we focused on getting the most out of her natural curl pattern through the right cut, cleansing, conditioning, and styling regimen.

We started with a clarifying shampoo to remove unnecessary product buildup, excess oils, and anything weighing her curls down. From there, I used Guy Tang Internal Collagen Reconstructor, which I feel made a noticeable difference in reducing frizz and helping the curls feel more controlled and conditioned.

We followed with Unbreakable Blonde by Guy Tang + a deep conditioner for added moisture and care. For styling, I used Kenra Volume Mousse, Kenra Curl Lover Bounce Spray, Curl Rejuvenator, and Kenra Silkening Mist, followed by my usual curl-brush + diffuser combination to shape, enhance, and build volume.

The result? Big, bouncy, polished curls with movement and definition—without chemicals or excessive heat. 🤎✨

Fixing another stylist’s extension work. 👀✨

The BEFORE photo — you can see the extensions literally hanging away from her head. There wasn’t enough of her natural hair in the section to properly support the weft, while too much hair was hanging on the weft for her fine hair, creating unnecessary weight.

This is why the details of an extension installation matter. Your technique has to be customized to the client’s hair type, density, and strength.

I removed and corrected the installation, adjusted the amount of hair being used, and customized the placement for her hair.

Same extensions. Completely different installation. 👑✨

For this transformation, we started with a wash + deep conditioning treatment, followed by a gloss treatment to enhance shine and create a gorgeous, polished foundation. From there, I installed hand-tied extensions with intentional placement for added length and fullness, then finished with a smooth blowout to showcase the blend.

The goal? Natural movement, seamless blending, and extensions that look like they belong there. 🤎✨

A little over a YEAR of color evolution 💜

This transformation has been a PROCESS! We started with multiple layers of dark violet and have been gradually taking her lighter over the course of several sessions.

I added a few of the in-between sessions so you can actually see some of the progression. There were still more appointments that aren’t pictured, but these give you a better idea of what it took to get from the original color to where we are TODAY.

We took our time with each session to maintain the integrity, strength, and health of her hair while continuing to work toward her goal.

Because no… this wasn’t a quick color correction. 😂
This was over a YEAR of patience, sessions, and trusting the process.

Then we finished with a Deluxe Curly Cut + Curl Brush Styling to enhance her natural curl pattern, create shape, and really let those colors show through.
