After being out of town for a few months, this sweet client finally made it back into my chair. She had purchased hair from another stylist while she was away. I had actually helped consult with her beforehand and knew it was great quality hair, so I was happy to have her back once she returned.
When she sat down, the hair itself was still in good condition, but her scalp had become pretty irritated and there was a bit too much tension on her natural strands. Sometimes installs just need a reset to better match someone’s hair density and growth.
We decided to start fresh with a full new install to give her scalp and hair the support it needed. At her follow-up, just four weeks later, we did a move-up and tone since I won’t see her again for a few more weeks.
Her hair is now growing beautifully, the weight is balanced for her natural strands, and it’s much more comfortable and easier for her to brush and maintain.
Just a little reminder, ladies… extension installs are not one-size-fits-all. Placement, weight, and tension all matter when it comes to keeping your natural hair healthy. 🤍

Feeling Grateful 💙
I just wanted to take a moment to thank all of my amazing clients for the flexibility, patience, and support you’ve shown me over the past month. As many of you know, things shifted quickly when our sweet baby boy decided to make his arrival a whole month early!
We welcomed him into the world on August 23, 2025, and we couldn’t be more in love. 💙
With that said, I’ll officially be returning to work starting tomorrow, September 2, 2025, and I can’t wait to see all of your beautiful faces again! If your appointment was moved or delayed due to the unexpected changes, I’ve already reached out to get you rescheduled.
Also, please keep in mind that my originally planned maternity leave for September–October is no longer happening, we already got our surprise early!
One more important note: If you’re feeling sick or under the weather, please don’t hesitate to let me know. I’ll be happy to reschedule your appointment, as our little one will be coming to work with me for the time being.

Blondie Tips 💡
1. Purple Shampoo ≠ Everyday Shampoo
* Use it 1–2x a week to fight brassiness, or every other week if you are prolong aging your washes.
* Keep in mind that you don’t want to purple shampoo for at least 4 weeks after your appointment, as it can strip your toner out.
* Overusing it can dry out your hair or leave dull, silvery tones.
2. Toners Are Not Optional
* Toners refresh your blonde and keep it looking salon-fresh.
* Book one every 4–8 weeks, depending on your tone and hair health if you aren’t booking blonding appointments regularly.
3. Heat Styling = Protect or Regret
* Always use a heat protectant before hot tools.
* Blondes are more prone to visible heat damage…protect that investment!
4. Hydration Is Your Hair’s Best Friend
* Bleached hair is thirstier than natural hair.
* Use a deep conditioning mask weekly and a daily leave-in conditioner.
5. Say Yes to Goldie Locks Hair Care
* Strength starts from within! Love and care for your luscious locks to maintain strong, resilient blonde strands.
6. Cool Water Rinse = Vibrant Blonde
* Rinse with cool water after washing to seal the cuticle and lock in tone and shine.

* Use dry shampoo and soft updos to extend styles between washes.
8. Protect Your Blonde at the Pool or in Salt Water
* Chlorine can turn blonde green!
* Wet your hair before swimming, use a leave-in conditioner, or wear a swim cap.
9. Trim Regularly
* A trim every 6–10 weeks keeps ends clean and your blonde looking fresh… not frayed.
10. Maintenance Appointments Matter
Everyone’s timeline is unique… but here’s a general guide:
* Full Blonding: at least once a year
* Partial/Refresh Sessions: every 6–8 weeks
* These in-between services help keep tone, brightness, and dimension on point.

🤍 Baby News & Maternity Leave Update 🤍
Hello Ladies,
In case you haven’t heard in our lovely small town… we have a little one on the way! 💕 We are beyond excited to share this special news with you as we prepare for the next big chapter in our lives.
I plan to continue working right up until baby decides to arrive. Our due date is September 23rd, so if you’d like to get in before then, I highly recommend booking early as my schedule is already filling up vastly!
Once baby arrives, I’ll be taking three “full” weeks off to rest, recover, and soak up all the newborn snuggles. For my lovely bi-weekly clients, I’ve already reached out (or will be soon!) to help keep you on track during that time. Thank you in advance for your patience as we navigate this new season with limited availability at the lounge. 💕
After those few weeks, I’ll be easing back in with a part-time schedule, with the goal of being back in full swing by the holiday season so don’t worry it will be just in time to take care of all you gorgeous ladies for special gatherings. And for those of you who’ve been asking (and begging!) for baby snuggles… there’s a good chance our little one will be hanging out in the salon, so you just might get to meet our baby during your appointment. ✨
With that being said, both before baby arrives and once I return to work, I kindly ask that you please reschedule your appointment if you’re feeling under the weather… even if it’s the day of. I’ll be much more flexible with cancellation policies during this time, as keeping myself and the baby healthy during this very vulnerable stage is my top priority.
