We're on the hunt for young actors in grades **3-12** who are ready to bring some serious fun and creativity to the stage! Remember, this is not a babysitting service; we want enthusiastic performers eager to work hard and shine!
**Mark your calendars:** Performances will take place January or FebruRY 2025 , with rehearsals every Saturday and Sunday from **12:30 to 4:30 PM**, starting on **October 5th**.

Beetlejuice JR is an adaptation of the cult-favorite 2019 musical designed especially for performers 18 and under. Adapted directly from the full-length Broadway hit musical Beetlejuice, the ghost-with-the-most comes to the stage in this edgy junior adaptation of everyone’s favorite irreverent musical comedy based on Tim Burton’s dearly beloved film. Beetlejuice tells the hauntingly comedic yet touching story of Lydia Deetz, a strange and unusual teenager obsessed with the whole “being dead thing.” Lucky for Lydia, her new house is haunted by a recently deceased couple (Adam and Barbara Maitland) and Beetlejuice, a delightful demon with a real zest for life. Trying to help the newlydeads maintain possession of their home, Lydia calls on Beetlejuice to scare away anyone with a pulse by calling his name thrice, allowing him to materialize and wreak havoc. The double-crossing specter, however, shows his true stripes…unleashing a Netherworld of pandemonium.
With music and lyrics by Tony Award-nominee Eddie Perfect and a book by Tony Award-nominated pair Anthony King and Scott Brown, Beetlejuice was nominated for eight 2019 Tony Awards including Best New Musical. Despite being a relatively new musical, there have been many productions of “The Prom” since its first performance in 2016, including a film adaptation. Directed by Becky Daigrepont ,Cutting Edge Theater’s upcoming production of “The Prom” is an intimate and emotionally-charged musical worth seeing.
“The Prom” follows the story of Emma (Emily Roy), a high school student in Indiana who sparks controversy when she announces her intention to bring her girlfriend to prom. Drawn to the news by their desire to do good (or rather, their desire to be publicly seen doing good), four Broadway has-beens, Dee Dee (Sara Pagones), Barry (Ron Brister), Trent (Rob Reidenauer) and Angie (Alyssa Bennifield & Emma Daigrepont), arrive in Emma’s town to demand justice and equality.
“The Prom” is an emotional musical that, at its core, celebrates accepting oneself and embracing others — a timeless message that still rings true. Cutting Edge Theater, promises a fun night out at the theater and an uplifting story that is well worth a watch.
