This is me and my little family before the twins came along.

I was freshly postpartum and pretty sure baby #3 was our caboose. Life felt busy, chaotic, and wonderfully full. Instead of hiring a photographer, I set up my camera and took our newborn photos myself.

Looking back now, it’s hard to believe how much has changed. The tiny baby in these photos isn’t so tiny anymore, and our family grew by two more little surprises we never saw coming.

At the time, I was just trying to make it through the newborn fog. Now I’d give anything to revisit some of those moments for just a little while.

These photos aren’t my favorites because they’re perfect. They’re my favorites because they’re ours. They tell the story of a season that went by far too fast.

Thank goodness for photographs.

There is something special about those first few days at home. The tiny fingers, sleepy snuggles, and quiet moments that somehow pass by far too quickly.

One of my favorite things about lifestyle newborn sessions is capturing your family exactly as you are- comfortable, connected, and completely in love with your newest addition.

Sweet baby cuddles never go out of style.

Yesterday we witnessed a beautiful rainbow. I had some fun throwing a vintage edit on it.
