Update:

Heyo!
Do I miss the salon life ? Yes!
Do I like what I'm doing now? Yes!

Life threw a little curveball my way last year, but we made it through! 🙏🏻 Sometimes ya just gotta buckle up and enjoy the ride. Take in the new scenery and smell the fresh air. GOD is the driver. He has it all mapped out already for us.

There are times it just doesn't make sense. And yet, somehow, it all connects at the same time. Perhaps looking through the glass with a new lense can really open up your view to things you'd normally ordinarily miss.

Am I saying life is perfect?, no! Lol,but it's imperfectly perfect!

A few hilites:

*Tomorrow, my baby G turns 11 months! I say this a lot, but time is flying by!! She is our everything. She's just the coolest lil kiddo. My bestie. ❤️ ... she's going to be ONE soon! HOW!? sooo freaking blessed. 🙏🏻

*I had a total pivot in my career a month ago. After 22 years, I took a step away from the salon floor. Honestly, I do miss my clients dearly, but it's a nice and refreshing change. Sometimes, we just need to slow down. I NEVER thought I'd be the victim of burnout... It's embarrassing to even admit (after all the advice and coaching and self-help and business coaching I spent on myself and career)...but.. ive accepted it. And realized I am NOT alone! And it's OK. I am now utilizing skills and talents I didn't even know I was capable of. Owning a business and being in the salon industry is NOT for the weak. Noone will truly understand (or value) us the way we deserve... butI know all I've done and accomplished these past two decades. And I have to give major kudos to the industry and to all my fellow friends and colleagues. Keep on trucking ,all! Cus Honestly, we really are baddies!! Maybe I'll see yall again soon!!

*I think I'm always destined to be the "nice girl"..cus, well, I can honestly admit that i am! Cus mean people just suck. And I have no time for you if im not worth any of yours! I can also now relate to the "less f**** given" as we grow older mindset. It' actually quite nice ,ol. And I don't feel bad about it!

*I surprised myself with this last lil update, I don't think I like Mountain Dew anymore!!

Where does time go?!
