I have been in the industry for 30 years and have been coming across content where hairstylists feels it’s in the clients best interest to cut the hair to the point the cut is not complimentary to the head/face shape. There are always more options ladies. I consult with my clients to see what look will work best for them. Haircuts should ALWAYS be complimentary to the clients head/face shape. The blunt cuts aren’t always the way to go, I’m sorry. As a licensed cosmetology instructor, this is disturbing to see on so many levels 😞.

I was fortunate to have worked with some of the best in this industry and learned so much from them. Our hair is our glory and when a guest sits in my chair, she is looking for solutions. It would be hard for me to sit in a hairstylist chair because there is no thought that goes into what would work best for me.

We are artists that make women look and feel beautiful. As artists we have to be more intentional on finding the right hairstyles for the women that sit in our chairs- these BLUNT cuts aren’t a “one size fits all!”
