Her Frame of Mind
I’m in a creative and growth spurt. I love photography, personal growth and exploring all the things. As I evolve and grow, so do my interests.
I am a work in progress. All the things that make women powerful and happy.
This morning we walked, I got home- started to figure out my high protein and fiber plan - minus dairy, because my body has decided no mas.
Anywho, I’m over here- planning my quinoa, smoked salmon and an avocado breakfast when what did I find?
A frickin loaf of cheesey jalapeno fresh sourdough!
I think we all know how that played out.
Hopefully the cheese won’t kill me later, because yep- I ate a big fat slice and it was delicious. Lol.

My favorite podcast, and she hits it straight out of the park.
This photo captures a moment I will never forget.
My daughter Kendall was in the studio for my conversation with Oprah Winfrey, and afterward, we just sat together and cried.
Not because we were sad. Because the message landed so deeply.
Like so many of you, Kendall felt that the conversation was exactly what she needed to hear at this moment in her life. The reminders that you're here for a reason. That your life has meaning. That you have gifts the world needs. And that you're meant for more than playing small.
What has stayed with me ever since is something Oprah shared that she learned from T.D. Jakes: "You cannot expect 10 gallons of love from someone who only has a pint to give."
That simple truth changes everything.
So much of our frustration comes from expecting people to give us something they either can't or won't give. Understanding that doesn't mean lowering your standards or abandoning your needs. It means seeing reality clearly so you can stop exhausting yourself fighting it.
That's exactly why I wanted to create today's episode.
In this episode, I'm answering real listener questions about difficult relationships and introducing a simple framework that will help you stop arguing, fixing, rescuing, and walking on eggshells around the people in your life.
You'll learn:
- How to deal with people who won't change
- What to do when someone you love keeps making the same mistakes
- How to stop carrying responsibility for everyone else's choices
- Why trying harder often makes difficult relationships worse
- How to take back your peace, power, and emotional energy
If you're dealing with an aging parent, an adult child, a difficult friend, a challenging relative, or a partner who seems to hear every request as criticism, this episode is for you.

I’m gonna recommend something here-
If you’ve not taken the time to read or listen to the 5 Second Rule or Let Them books by Mel Robbins yet, you are missing out.
They’re both great- especially Let Them, it’s changed my life and my relationships- my outlook and my ability to live a happier, stress free life.
For me it’s been a game changer.
I can honestly say I am at peace, my relationship with my husband and family and others is better and I love that I have discovered this secret.
Where I use to have anxiety and worry, and stress all the time on what’s going on in areas of other people lives that I care about deeply - now I understand that it is their life. Their decisions, and I have no business in there trying to get them to do what I think is the thing to solve all their problems- to stress on it- and no control over their outcomes.
Let Them has helped me ‘let go’ not because I don’t care, but because I do care- ABOUT ME.
Now I ‘let them’ do them so that I can focus on what I can fix- me.

Ok - so it’s a small group of mostly females following this page, and that was intentional-
I’m wondering who’s interested in a little meetup?
I have a love for fall photos, and I want to take some moody ones- maybe a little ‘Season of the Witch’ spooky season vibe?
I’m not wanting to create a whole ‘event’ just maybe a friend or two that wants to play around and let me take a few shots of them.

My daughter joined the gym for me, I think she decided to push me off the fence.
Good news is that I looked up their class schedule and they have a 5:30 am get strong class monday, wednesday and friday- so that will work just fine with my habit of getting up early and I can do it before my 7:30 walking time.
I’m excited. I’m gonna go take a tour of the gym tomorrow and hope I can make myself do the plan now that i made one. Lol.
I remember back in the day,
‘The camera’
One in the house and everybody used it, if I was allowed to snap a shot. Lol.
Film developing was spendy and we were poor, so my mom was the one that got to do it.
Both my parents eventually got nice cameras, I think Minolta.
They were divorced by then.
Dad was always taking his trip from Oregon to Kansas and back.
Mom was taking pictures of her sweet grandbabies (Kindra & Karissa)
Back in the day.

Mmmkay. So, I fasted 16 hours, opened the eating window at noon- I had a half cup of cottage cheese- full fat, a peach, and a nurri shake to help me make my protein goal. Then I made a pan of lasagna, I had a coffee, I ate half a caramello. I have not hit the protein goal and I have not hit the calorie goal. I am not too hungry, but I know I need to get the calories in or I won’t be able to lose weight. I guess I should eat more. Hmmm… this is one of the bad things about IF- for me, I am not hungry enough during the eating window to get all my eating done. I exercise and the tracker adds on more calories for the day.
