Connect with your true self and reintegrate into your natural place with the universe and everything in it. The meaning of life is just to be alive.

It is so plain and so obvious and so simple. And yet, everybody rushes around in a great panic as if it were necessary to achieve something beyond themselves.

It Will Give You Goosebumps - Alan Watts On Existence 08/14/2022

I’ve always felt kind of weird and out of place as a kid. Always curious, thinking of things most ppl don’t or are too scared to question. Feeling so alone even when surrounded by ppl. Randomly stumbling upon Alan Watts changed all of that for me. Although he passed several years ago, I was finally given some peace finding someone else who thinks and questions everything similarly while being able to describe it in a way that makes perfect sense.

There’s a beautiful, perfectly designed world and universe out there. Look at it, explore its wonders. You’ll find peace in the organized chaos and will gain an entirely new appreciation for this miracle of life you’re fortunate to be able to experience.

The mystery of life isn’t a problem to be solved, but rather a reality to be experienced.

The power of omnipotence isn’t being able to do anything…..but to be doing all things at once.

To find your true self, first you must free yourself from the subconscious desire to live up to the expectations of others. Underneath that lies the desires you’ve longed for, but kept buried deep down within you.

uFit is finally back. We are shifting our focus from not only physical well-being, but also to mental and physical health as well. I’ll be doing some live videos discussing various topics like conscious awareness, perspectives, daily choices, and my personal journey towards living healthily and finding enlightenment. I hope to inspire you to learn how to think instead of what to think. I’m open to having discussions about any subject you find important or difficult, while building a community of people who have discussions rather than hostile arguments on controversial subjects. Let’s break down the barrier of “us vs. them” and work towards appreciating other view points that we can all learn from with appreciation instead of condemnation. More soon to come.

Wanting to lose some weight?
The trick here is to set your sights on losing body fat, not just body weight in general, and maintaining or increasing your muscle mass.

Having more muscle burns extra calories throughout the day, whereas doing too much cardio will actually decrease the amount of calories your body burns on its own.

Lifetime Risk of Developing or Dying From Cancer 04/06/2015

The data from cancer rates across the world shows that the people living in countries with higher incomes have greater risks of developing cancer:

In America, men have a 43% chance and women have almost a 38% chance of developing some sort of cancer during their lifetime.

"The high incidence rates [of cancer] in the UK, Denmark and other high-income countries are not inevitable and lifestyle changes can make a real difference to people’s risk. In fact, scientists estimate that about a third of the most common cancers in the UK and other high-income countries could be prevented by maintaining a healthy weight, being more physically active and eating more healthily."
-Professor Martin Wiseman, the Medical and Scientific Adviser for World Cancer Research Fund.this is just a small example, but the evidence is overwhelming everywhere you look. Bad food choices and a sedentary lifestyle are detrimental to our well-being.

I'm here to be your guide.

The cornerstones to a healthy and active lifestyle in order of importance:

1. Diet - not some temporary "diet." Im taking about eating whole foods consistently over a long period of time. You don't have to be perfect, just make healthy decisions regularly.

2. Strength training - a lot of people probably think that cardio would go here. Strength training is more important because it helps to correct muscle imbalances while also providing the body with more lean muscle, which burns more calories throughout the day as your body uses and maintains it. Plus, strength training comes along with an "afterburn" effect known as EPOC, which burns even more calories while your body heals.

3. Cardio/conditioning - walking, jogging, and circuit-style workouts are great for your cardiovascular health and compliments a well-rounded strength training program nicely. Don't feel like you have to go out a run for hours on end or do high intensity exercises all day every day to lose weight. It's tough on your body and will only burn so much fat while your doing it (while even burning up some muscle). Stick to a low to moderate intensity and maintain good posture throughout.

There's no stopping you along your journey to a healthier life when utilizing these 3 components correctly. We're here to help, allow us to be your guide. ✌️
