Two weeks ago, I had no idea I’d be writing this.

On July 3rd, we learned we had less than a week to completely relocate my salon.

In that time, we had to negotiate a lease release, move out of the old space, design this one, demo it, build it, paint, tile, install flooring, lighting, plumbing, furniture… and somehow have everything ready for my clients.

What would normally take months came together in less than seven days. Looking back, I’m still not quite sure how Clayton Glick did it it but I know we couldn’t have done it without the people who believed in me.

There were moments I truly didn’t know if we’d pull it off.

But we did.

I’m so incredibly proud of my husband, who worked from early morning until 4:00 a.m. nearly every night to make this happen before heading back to work on the North Slope. My older kids jumped in without hesitation carrying, cleaning, painting, organizing, and helping wherever they were needed.

This truly became a family project, and I’ll never forget it.

Even moving out of the old salon was a challenge. We emptied an entire three story building with no working elevator while temperatures inside climbed into the 90s. It was exhausting, overwhelming, and at times felt impossible but somehow, we kept moving forward.

To my clients… thank you.

Thank you for your patience through the reschedules, the uncertainty, and the chaos. Thank you for trusting me enough to follow me into this next chapter. Thank you for believing in me long before this space was finished. Your support means more than I could ever put into words.

As overwhelming as these last couple of weeks have been, they’ve also reminded me exactly why I love what I do.

This new space gives me more flexibility, more appointment availability, and the freedom to create the experience I’ve always envisioned a private, one on one salon where every client has my full attention from the moment you walk in until the moment you leave.

Hair has never just been a job to me. I genuinely love the artistry, the chemistry, and the science behind it. I love solving problems, creating custom color, building confidence, and continuing to learn so I can give my clients the very best experience possible.
