Hard water is silently ruining your hair… but most people don’t even realize it

As a hairstylist, I see this ALL the time dryness, dullness, color fading faster than it should… and hard water is usually the culprit. So here’s the exact routine I give my clients to fix it:

✨ Step 1: Filter your water
A good shower filter makes a huge difference. I always recommend the Showerhead Filter it’s truly a 10/10 and helps reduce all that mineral buildup at the source.

✨ Step 2: Remove buildup (but don’t overdo it)
Use Malibu C Hard Water (packets or shampoo/conditioner) to cleanse away minerals. This is your reset.

✨ Step 3: Rehydrate + maintain balance
Follow with a moisturizing line like Amika Normcore to keep your hair soft, healthy, and actually feel good again.

✨ The key: balance
Think of your routine like this:
• 40% Malibu C (removing buildup)
• 60% moisturizing shampoo (restoring hydration)

So if you wash about 5 times a month → 2 Malibu washes + 3 moisturizing washes

✨ Monthly reset
Use a Malibu C packet once a month for a deeper detox

The goal isn’t to strip your hair it’s to keep it clean + moisturized at the same time ✨
