September has been a little bit of sunshine, a whole lot of memories, some much-needed vacation time, and of course, doing what I love most!

Between making memories with my favorite people, soaking up the sun, and getting back into the treatment room, my camera roll has been FULL lately. 🥹💗

I’m officially back from vacation, catching up with all my favorite faces, and getting ready for all things FALL! 🍂

✨ TWO YEARS OF CONSISTENCY & REALISTIC WAXING EXPECTATIONS ✨

Just a little reminder that even with consistency, we’re still human 🩷

One of the biggest misconceptions about waxing is that after a certain period, you’ll never experience irritation, redness, or ingrown hairs again. That’s simply not realistic!

Consistency can make a HUGE difference in your waxing journey. Over time, many clients notice finer regrowth, less discomfort, and healthier looking skin between appointments. But even two years in, an occasional ingrown or a little post wax irritation can happen.

🌸 Let’s normalize REAL skin!

Ingrowns and irritation can happen for several reasons, including hormonal changes, sickness, friction from clothing, sweat, dead skin buildup, your natural hair growth pattern, and even changes in your skincare routine.

The goal of consistent waxing isn’t necessarily to achieve perfectly smooth, bump free skin 24/7. It’s to establish a routine that works for YOUR skin, minimize irritation, manage ingrowns, and maintain long term results!

September is bringing some new faces, new schedules, and a whole lot of growth to Electric Beauty Lab, and I’m so excited to finally share it all with you! 🤎

First, we’re welcoming TWO new estheticians into the salon!

🤎 Katelyn Soots | Naked Root Waxing

Katelyn is coming back home to Somerset after spending the last year in Lexington growing as a wax specialist and perfecting her technique. She’s passionate about being thorough and creating a comfortable, judgment-free space where everyone feels welcome.

When she isn’t waxing, she loves the lake, anything involving the water, a good teen drama, getting way too competitive over Clue, and football season. Bills fans, you’ve officially got someone to talk game day with. 😂🏈

Katelyn will officially join us September 14th!

💚 Mikayla Wi******er | The Gaming Esthy

Mikayla is a licensed esthetician with a passion for skincare that is effective, relaxing, and as environmentally conscious as possible. She’ll be bringing her own approach to skincare and helping clients work toward their skin goals in a space where they can relax and feel taken care of.

Mikayla will be joining us in September and taking clients Fridays & Sundays!

I’m genuinely so excited to have both of these ladies sharing the space and bringing their own personalities, specialties, and clients into Electric Beauty Lab. 🥹

And with growth comes a little change to my schedule, too.

Beginning in September, Holistic Skin by Erica’s new hours will be:

✨ Monday–Wednesday | 9:00–3:00
✨ Thursday | 9:00–6:30
✨ Friday–Sunday | OFF

My clients will always be my number one priority, and I am absolutely still here. 🤎 But after years of pouring so much of myself into my work, it’s time for me to create a little more work-life balance while also opening the door for Electric Beauty Lab to continue growing.

CURRENT CLIENTS: We only have about ONE WEEK LEFT to prebook before my new schedule begins, and September is already filling quickly, especially with my vacation taking up part of the month! 🛳️☀️

If you know you’ll need your Brazilian, facial, brows, lashes, or another appointment with me in September, please go ahead and grab your spot now. I don’t want my regulars realizing too late that their usual time is gone!

This feels like such a new chapter for our little salon. More women building their businesses, more services and availability under our roof, and a healthier schedule that lets me continue loving what I do without making work my entire life.

Hey everyone! My name is Katelyn, and I’m the owner of Naked Root Waxing! 🤎

I’ve spent the last year in Lexington growing as a wax specialist and perfecting my techniques, and I’m so excited to finally be coming back home and sharing everything I’ve learned with you!
