Shiner's Barbershop & Shave Parlor

We get a lot of questions and concerns involving kids. A lot of people are worried that there kid won't sit still, or they will be to loud, etc. So we thought we'd throw this our here to try and answer any questions.

1. We recommend waiting until your baby is at least 2 years old before getting a haircut. But every baby is unique, so we can bend that recommendation depending on circumstance!

2. We can handle a kid with a case of the wiggles, as fathers ourselves, we understand getting a child to sit perfectly still is near impossible. So they're ok. We prepared for this. The only thing we can't deal with, is if the kid throws fist at us or themselves out of rage (its happened), or is inconsolable.

3. We do cut kids on the spectrum. We understand that it could be difficult. Or the kid may have a very hard time, and things of that nature. We're still gonna do our best we can, to give that kid the haircut they need, and do it with a smile on our face, to help them get into the routine of a haircut! 🧩

4. We love kids. Most of us are fathers. We get what its like, but we're here for it!

Starting this month (April) thru October, on the 4th Saturday of the month, we will be closing early.

New hours for those particular Saturdays 8am - 11am.

We know it’s not that many hours, but do to traffic from the cruise, and the cancellations/no shows we receive on that day due to not being able to get us like normal, we figured this would just be best.

Also, we post this in no ill way towards the cruise at all. The Saturdays were we cut hair and watched a brigade of classic cars were always cool. We’re just gonna take this time to enjoy too.

It’s another good day at the barbershop. The chair is comfy, the conversation is mint, and the haircuts are hoppin 🐰

Very few spots speckled throughout today and tomorrow. Snag it up and beat the rush 🤟🏼

Starting now & moving forward, Spoons will not be cutting hair. Only sitting there on his phone, and talking to the new barbers about “back in my day”.

A “quality over quantity” mindset is a hard thing to find these days, but look no further.

Our back parking lot has been blocked off for construction because they’re building a cell phone out back. Just letting yall know. We only have the front spots which we know is annoying something’s! Hopefully it’s not for long
