Today, we honor the remarkable work of hairstylists who often go unnoticed for the multitude of tasks they perform. Hairstylists do much more than just cutting hair. They are excellent listeners, whether we’re describing a haircut we want to emulate or sharing stories about our families, friends, and life. They act as our stand-in therapists and confidants. Beyond that, they are artists, perfectionists, color chemists, and angle mathematicians. Their influence extends beyond our appearance; they impact how we feel about ourselves and how we perceive others. These skilled professionals can transform our appearance and boost our confidence in a single appointment. 22 years ago today a legacy was passed on. tresses opened in 1990 by my mother, marge and i took it over in 2002. thank you to my talented stylists and front desk support team, i couldn’t do it without you! my mother would say, ‘michelle, in order to be successful, you need to be a household name’. jersey peeps know what that means. when you come into tresses, you’re family.

with a heavy broken heart, our beautiful mother passed away peacefully with her family by her side💔 for those who have loved her and whose life she touched, thank you for loving her, she was a jem💎

UPDATE 6/12/2020

Tresses official re-opening day will be on Tuesday June 23, 2020.
The salon will be open: 11-7 weekdays & 9-4 on Saturdays.

Our New Normal:

as directed by NJ Consumer Affairs:
~daily staff and client health screening regarding possible exposure to covid-19.
~daily temperature checks on all staff and clients.
~anyone over 100.4 will be not be permitted to work and client will be rescheduled.
~by appointment only
~maintain 6ft social distancing
~masks are mandatory

personal precautions:
~No blowdries or waxing initially
~Give us a wave👋at the window to let us know you have arrived. Feel free to wait outside or in your car, we will come find you when we are ready.
~There will be no magazines, no bagels and no beverages served. Sorry latte lovers!😉
~Stylist to client ratio is 1:1. Exceptions will be made for families👨‍👩‍👦‍👦who live in the same household provided we can maintaining social distancing.

~Payment & Gratutity
All forms of payment will be accepted and gratuities should be handled directly with your stylist. Please avoid asking for change for gratuities at reception. Venmo can be used if available to you and your stylist.

If you are sick or have a fever or just don’t feel well, please stay home. If you have been around anyone that has had COVID-19, please stay home and self quarantine. We will reserve the right to refuse any clients if we feel that anyone’s health and well-being will be jeopardized.
