I was 26 & ha i tell them- i started the selfie
This photo was taken when I was pregnant with my #2 and oldest daughter in our one bath
second floor walk up with like 100 steps
a time filled with anticipation, love, and a world forever changed after 9/11.
That moment taught me how fragile and precious life really is, and the importance of capturing moments. My reason for using the Panasonic (i still have) to capture this one
I’ve also come to understand we carry more than just our babies. We carry their energy, spirit, and the beginnings of who they’ll become.
Looking back, I’m so grateful for this photo… a reminder of strength, new beginnings, and that light always follows dark times.
